Today I came up with another haiku, and whilst you might think this was a clever way for me to avoid writing/thinking too much, I can assure you that it actually wasn’t. Today, I was completely taken by the ‘waxing gibbous’ daytime moon I spied on an absolutely clear sky (such a rare sight in England!); it looked kind of like this:

And nothing fitted the mood as much as a haiku (I was also reading Japanese mystery fiction at the time), so there you go:
Sky, breaking in waves
Against the moon’s faceless head –
We kill fear at noon.
